Originally established in 1978 as the sales agency Hornblower Books, Hornblower Book Group changed its structure to an association of independent sales agents in 2007 and is one of Canada’s most respected groups of professional sales representatives. Our unique model offers publishers and suppliers an experienced sales agent in every major city with the assurance of little or no turnover. We have an in depth knowledge of our market and a commitment to maximizing sales for our publishers and suppliers.

The Hornblower Book Group’s independent sales agents cover the six eastern provinces – from Ontario east to the Atlantic Provinces. We offer Canada-wide representation by partnering with rep groups that cover the four western provinces from Manitoba to British Columbia and the northern territories. This arrangement allows suppliers to customize their needs with as many as a dozen reps available to sell their product.

Administration and coordination for all Canadian sales are handled by Hornblower. Although we do not offer distribution services, we do partner with several good Canadian distributors and can provide advice in this matter.

Hornblower Book Group serves both domestic and international publishers and suppliers. We utilize their catalogues and marketing material in order to preserve and build their profile within the Canadian market.
